Shareable links
How shareable links work, who can use them, and how to revoke access.
Every shareable item in Spar uses a share token — a long random string embedded in a URL. Anyone with the link can view the item without signing in.
Where to generate one
- Opportunities — the Share button on any opportunity detail.
- Notebooks — the Share button on the notebook header.
- Gaps — under the Share menu on a gap row.

/screenshots/sharing/share-dropdown.pngWho can see what
- Recipients see a read-only view of the item and its immediate context (linked gaps, hypothesis, wireframe, etc.).
- Recipients don't see anything else in the workspace — no store list, no other opportunities, no settings.
- Recipients can vote and comment by providing an email address.
Revoking access
Open the item, click Share, and regenerate the token. The old link stops working immediately.
Use cases
- Send a client a single opportunity to approve before you build it.
- Send a teammate a notebook to review before a planning meeting.
- Send a stakeholder a gap to settle a "is this actually a problem?" conversation.
